The head of the Environment of the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia, Enrique Ayuso, has asked the Popular Party "tourist routes will stop by Portman and immediately starts regeneration authentic tasks and environmental recovery of the Bay."

"
The Socialist Party is committed to the immediate execution of the works of regeneration and environmental adaptation of Portman Bay in accordance with the approved project and budget for 2011, and with the agreement of local residents and environmental organizations.
"We do not accept now a poke for a new quarry project that we can pose severe health and environmental problems for the residents of the area," Ayuso added.
The social responsibility has reiterated that the PSOE fought and won a project to recover environmentally supposed Portman Bay and generate economic activity and tourism fully compatible with environmental protection.
He also noted that the Socialists will be vigilant to not start up or any other illegal activity detrimental to the environment and the citizens of the area.
