The reports of TVE program, which this year celebrates 40 years of uninterrupted broadcast, will dedicate this Saturday August 10 a special on the Festival, its internationalization and the dreams that haunt the participants in the contest Contests
The International Festival del Cante de las Minas will be starring, this Saturday August 10, the program Spanish Television Weekly Report.
Titled "The Union: The Dorado del Flamenco", the television team, which has been several days of shooting in the city, addresses the importance of this festival for different contests participants, who aspire to become a niche in the world of flamenco, chasing the Golden, as happened a century ago in this mining town who was known as the New California.
Another aspect to be addressed in that report weekly report is the internationalization of the contest, opening permanent offices overseas in India, Japan or the United States, without leaving the Union.
In addition, the TV will echo two important anniversaries being commemorated on this 53rd edition: the twenty years since winning its Mining Lamp Miguel Poveda in this Festival (1993), and twenty years since Vicente Amigo was boosted with the drone Mining (1988).
Both have performed this year at the Cathedral of Cante and are exponents of flamenco singing and guitar, respectively, and represent the dream they want to reach the hundreds of participants each year looking for a spot in the finale of the Sing contests, Guitar , Flamenco Dance and instrumentalist.
Weekly Report, in this 2013 is forty years of uninterrupted broadcasts on public television, has been awarded the journalism Pencho Cros 2013, belonging to the Convocation XIV International Cultural Festival del Cante de las Minas.
