The head of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, received today at the Palacio de San Esteban La Union Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, who informed him about the progress on the project to regenerate Portman Bay.
In this regard, Bernabe said the project for a complete regeneration of the Bay, initiated at the request of the Joint Venture (JV) formed by Acciona and German mining multinational, is well advanced and the work could be a reality next year.
These companies, who would have an administrative concession, proposing extract iron from mining waste at no cost to the Administration to be able to market change, which would mean a profit for the municipality of La Union (over a thousand direct jobs and indirect) and the Region of Murcia in general.
