Tomorrow, Saturday, May 25, the City of La Union and several municipal associations will launch for the first time "Solidarity March by the Sierra Minera", a project that will allow us to enjoy our natural and cultural heritage, while contributing directly to help people in need.
You are invited to participate in it all the citizens of the Union and any who want to join the company.
The initiative involves a march hiking through the Sierra Minera, between La Union and Portman, touring the legendary Road 33 connecting the two locations across the massif, and will allow you to enjoy an extraordinary ride to admire the entire environmental wealth of our mountains, besides contemplating the monumental remains of the numerous mines in it abound.
And the integral part will be that all participants may wish to bring, before you leave a bag of non-perishable food products, which will go to the food bank that manage municipal social services and to be distributed among those most in needed.
In exchange for the bag, by the City will be given a ticket stub will serve to enjoy free a giant paella and corresponding Portman drink to reach, all without any extra cost to those who have contributed.
They can also join the initiative and enjoy the paella those who wish to deliver their food bag directly at Portman, but were unable to participate in the march.
Departure will be at 11 am o'clock in the morning from the front door of the Old Public Market of La Union, in the Plaza Joaquín Costa, and the place of arrival at Portman and solidarity lunch celebration will be the Paseo de Colon this seaside resort.
