The processions of Holy Thursday and Friday put the finishing touches on a Holy Week that will be remembered for the commemoration of the centenary of the Christ of the Miners.
Throughout the run of the Passion Week we could enjoy the act of receiving the carving restored by the Autonomous Community of the owner of the Brotherhood, a Mining Mass in his honor and the opening of the Museum and Headquarters Minera Easter.
After that, the Ramos was held Saturday for the third consecutive year the Cross of Christ of Miners from Mina Groups Vicenta to the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which in turn Temple first hosted Holy Wednesday the National Competition Bolts of Union City.
The processions of Holy Thursday and Friday highlighted once again the fervor and religiosity of unionenses and visitors who filled the streets of the town, like the martial splendor and the various processions processional, they demonstrated and waste of our culture and idiosyncrasy mining.
Tuesday morning, at 9.00 am, our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has called the House of the Municipal Corporation to vote on his proposal that the Christ of Miners is named Son of the Union.
Over the coming weeks the Brotherhood and the city plan to hold a conference to commemorate the cultural first century of existence of the Christ of the Miners.
