The Full Council of the Union has agreed this morning, with the votes for the People's Party and the Socialist Party against and United Left, a series of new measures in order to improve and support directly to our neighbors about the new water rates.
The agreements are:
- Communicate the company Acciona Agua with its obligation to repay immediately to citizens the portion of the receipts of which are not correctly applied current rates of consumption in the period referred to billing according to the date of publication of the Regulatory Ordinance adopted by the City of La Union.
- Modify the ordinance urgent water tariff for industrial use, with the goal of creating a special tariff for large consumers as to meet the demands of the competitive industry and do our business park.
- Articulate through its Social Services, the measures necessary to pay direct subsidies to all citizens who are below the poverty line according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics and regardless of whether they are working in a situation are unemployed or pensioners.
- Establish a committee comprised of representatives of social groups and the government team in order to continue working in the search for improvement in the implementation of tariffs.
