The new Director General of Water, Joaquin Grin has received in Murcia to our Mayor, Francisco Barnabas, the First Deputy Mayor and Councillor of the Presidency, Carlos Martinez, and Alderman of Industry and Environment, Fernando Alcaraz, in order to maintain a workshop in which various issues have been discussed of interest to our town.
Specifically, the highlight was to determine the progress taking place in the drafting of the construction of the new wastewater treatment plant is to be performed at Portman.
In this sense, Grin, said our municipal representatives that the new facility will be art tertiary level, looking for full integration with the surrounding landscape and with capacity to treat wastewater from a population of 4000 people at an early stage capable of being expanded to double in the second phase.
The forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water is that the project be completed before the end of the year, in order to bid the work in 2013.
