The Mayor of La Union and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, together with the Director General of Cultural and Arts Industries, Juan Antonio Lorca, Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the University of Murcia, Fernando Martin and the Director General of Universities, Fernando Osuna have opened in the Congress headquarters, located in the house of the Third Congress Pinon University Research on Flamenco, organized by the University of Murcia through the International University Foundation Sea and Singing Mine.
It opens thus a new chapter of the work that the Foundation performs Cante de las Minas to bring, disseminate and promote flamenco in all spheres of society, the university being a priority with this congress .
The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, stood at the opening, "This conference helps position the ladder flamenco rightful privilege, being next to the bullfighting, the greater representation of Spanish culture."

The second paper was carried out by guitarist and director of the School of Flamenco Cante de las Minas, Carlos Piñana, which addressed "touches miners: from tradition to modernity."
