Thanks to the Provider Payment Plan approved by the National Government, the City of La Union has been able to settle debts with suppliers that held until December 31, 2011 for total amount of 8,558,682.15 euros, corresponding to A total of 2,305 bills that were outstanding.
In total the Region of Murcia have been 360 million euros have been paid to the workers of the 45 municipalities that make up our region.
At this level, the Government of Spain will add, from next week, another 1,100 million euros to settle the outstanding debts of the Regional Administration.
Our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has described as extremely positive initiative promoted by the new Central Executive in Madrid, because it will allow to save the economy and the jobs of thousands of businesses in Spain, at the same time providing the municipalities of a stable budgetary framework through which have a period of 10 years to repay these amounts to the State.
