The Embassy of the United States in Spain has hosted a working meeting with the diplomatic staff of the institution itself and a representation of our town.
Specifically, at the meeting were present the Minister of Culture of the Embassy, ​​Mrs. Laura Gould, assisted by two counselors, and our Mayor, Francisco Barnabas, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of the Presidency and Culture, Carlos Martinez and Julio Garcia respectively.
The main reason for the meeting was on the details of delivery to United States Award "Cathedral Song", the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas has awarded its 2012 edition this nation, for their great work in the preservation, promotion and dissemination of best flamenco.
Mrs. Gould thanked the granting of the award on behalf of his Government and the Ambassador, Embassy compromising their presence this summer in La Union to collect the award.
