The Minister for Universities and Research Company, José Ballesta, opened today with the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the sixteenth Fair of Minerals and Fossils of the Sierra Minera of the municipality who will, until next Saturday, April 7, in morning and afternoon, with the participation of a total of 38 exhibitors.

José Ballesta he emphasized "the importance year after year has taken on this show, to stand as one of the top three nationally, which is a clear example of significant mining heritage that has the Murcia region."
At 1,500 meters of surface are there in the Fair, located in the Old Public Market Union, exhibitors have come from different Spanish mining areas.
On the surface, displayed for sale a wide range of minerals and gemstones.
This year's edition, which expects over 10,000 visitors from the previous edition, includes among its activities parallel a presentation on eggs and fossilized dinosaur nests Cretaceous period, between 70 and 110 million years old and valuable paleontological which come from France, Argentina, Mongolia and China.
The program of activities also includes the award for best booth, best ore in the Sierra and exposed piece and win a valuable mineral among all participants of the Fair.
All this is added, the delivery of a commemorative plaque for his work in older mining in the Sierra Minera of Cartagena-La Union.
The Fair is organized by the Federation of Business and Professional Union, in collaboration with the City unionense, the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, the Regional Assembly, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cartagena and the Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (COEC).
The organizing committee of the Fair of Minerals and Fossils of the Union is working in the processing of the concessions granted to him the fair category 'Official sample' and 'Event of Regional Tourist Interest'.
