The closing and award ceremony was attended by the Regional Director of Sports, Antonio Penalver, and Deputy Mayor of Culture and Sports, Julio Garcia.
The program "Playing Athletics" was created to offer children and young people a new form, according to our time, to get started in athletics.
Taking into account the habits and the new demands that children and young people in the area claimed today's society, the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation is promoting change through "Playing Athletics" on the concept of athletic activities for children to mobilize and attract them towards athletics, considering also that the most appropriate and effective environment for this development is primarily the school setting.
