Secretary of State for Tourism, Elizabeth Borrego, made a visit to our town to see first hand the major infrastructure and tourist attractions available to the Union.
The high ministerial office, which has been received at City Hall by our Mayor, Francisco Barnabas, and the Deputy Mayor of Tourism, Antonio Liarte, has traveled the Pinion House, where he visited the premises of the Office of Tourism recently awarded with the Q for Quality, like the Museum Cante de las Minas, in which he explained the origin of our songs and main characters of our great Flamenco Festival.
Later, have moved to Miner Park, where they have known their various sites rehabilitated and restored for tourist visits, and in particular, the Mine Groups Vicenta, who has been a leisurely visit to know in depth.
In this regard, the Secretary of State has been impressed by the spectacle of the mine, both from the standpoint of visual and aesthetic, to the incredible work of mining engineering developed in that place, and from the emotional aspect, with exposure of what it was tremendously hard life of miners in the bowels of the earth.
Barnabas has been very pleased with the outcome of the visit, the result of the invitation extended to Elizabeth Borrego at its first meeting in Madrid a couple of months, and added that since the Ministry of Tourism are being studied with great interest the proposals for improvement of the miners and flamingoes attractions of our city that have been submitted by the City Council with the Government of the Nation.
