The Governing Council has adopted the definition of environment protection of the food market of La Union.

The space includes the parcel where the property is located and all public spaces that surround it.

With this measure, the Autonomous visual guarantees protection of the building, which is declared as a Cultural category of monument since 2007.

The food market of La Union was built in 1907 and is part of the renewal of the urban layout of the town, hence the chair a square building, with time, has been refurbished and modernized to accommodate the construction of new plant that are distributed around.
