The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Seville, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, today inaugurated the roundabout access to the Estate The Bolarín, which is a significant improvement in access to the municipality and provides the core industrial proper input and safer.
The works have been carried out in eight months, involving investment of more than 900,000 regional euros, and solve the problem of intersection of the MR-F40 (The Union-The Camachos) and MR-F41 (The Union-Roche).
"The construction of this access reduces the risk of accidents in an area of ​​confluence that records high traffic intensity derived from the industrial area, with over 3.8 million vehicles a year, of which 365,000 are heavy," said Sevilla .
The Minister of Public Works and Planning indicated that this new infrastructure will be very beneficial to the industrial area because "in the area of ​​influence it has over 50 businesses and schools."
Five hits
The roundabout has five entrances: from Los Camachos, from the southern area of ​​the polygon, the North, from Roche and from Murcia Street, which connects to the center of La Union.
The roundabout has an outer diameter of 59 meters and consists of two lanes of 4.25 meters, an outer shoulder of two meters and an inner one meter.
It has street lighting and new signage horizontal and vertical, and the marking required in the area.
