The Delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Joaquin Bascuñana has been received this morning in the House Pinion by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and Councillors of the government team.
This is the first official visit to a town in our region's new head of the State in it.
The visit began with a meeting at which it was made aware to the Delegate of the various ministry projects with direct impact on our town, such as the regeneration of Portman Bay, the Foundation Cante de las Minas and Park The Union Mining.
After that, there has been a Local Safety Board who attended the senior officers of the Guardia Civil in the Region, the Director General of Emergency Autonomous Region, local commanders of local police and civil protection in the Union and policy makers in the field.
During the same has been carefully analyzed the security of citizens in La Union, Portman and Roche, as well as the various measures that are being articulated to improve crime rates.
Finally, the visit ended with a tour of the facilities of the House Civil Guard barracks in La Union, renovated last year by the City Council, expressing its satisfaction Delegate functioning and state of the same.
Barnabas has expressed great satisfaction at the fact that Bascuñana have wanted to start his official visits by the Union from the 45 municipalities of the Region of Murcia, and especially the high degree of receptivity and commitment he has shown in solving Bascuñana the various issues that have been raised, having committed fully involved in their success.
