In this regard, the Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, signed this morning with the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the protocol for the reduction of energy in the municipality, which will affect buildings and equipment, buildings residential, public lighting, municipal fleet and public transport, private and commercial.
With all this, "we will make our region through each of its municipalities achieve significant energy savings that will contribute to cost savings, which in these difficult times is always a relief to the municipal coffers," said the counselor.
In addition, José Ballesta said that, with performances that gradually developed in our town, is expected to stop issuing into the atmosphere from 2020 about 9221 tons of CO2 in La Union.
Also, actions in energy saving and renewable energy to help stimulate the economy by boosting the industry.

José Ballesta said that "we are talking about taking responsibility involving the commitments made by the European Union through the Covenant of Mayors, to reduce emissions by 20% of greenhouse gases, saving 20% ​​of consumption energy through improved energy efficiency, to cover 10% of transportation needs through biofuels and promote renewable energy up to 20% "
