The City of La Union has signed an agreement this morning with the Abraham Project Association, an NGO declared of public utility and dedicated to social reintegration through the implementation of environmental activities in waste management and sustainable development.
Concrete, through this agreement will be implemented in our municipality a system of municipal waste collection relating to textiles, shoes and toys to prevent them from going to landfills and are transformed into social economy.
To this end, they will install a total of 20 metal containers in our municipality for the collection of such waste.
In addition, there will be information and awareness campaigns on this measure, as well as workshops and training courses related to this matter.
The convention is free of charge to the City Council and all matters relating to the installation of containers, maintenance and waste collection shall be borne by Project Abraham.
