The 3 political formations that make up the full City Council unanimously agreed a motion to approve the Popular Party of the Union that is interested in applying for the Cante de las Minas Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.
In this regard, it has agreed to direct the request to the Ministry of Culture to which, after processing the relevant procedure, this raising the proposal to the Council of Ministers if deemed appropriate.
The petition is praised by more than one hundred accessions of the most important flamenco artists, as well as numerous personalities from the Social, Cultural, University, Politics and Journalism in Spain and the Region of Murcia.
The Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts is the highest honor granted by our country's cultural, public recognition is the only major nationwide subtracted to get to our Prestigious Festival.
