The meeting, which was chaired by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has attended the General Director of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Pedro Antonio Ríos, as well as spokesmen for the three local political groups, Carlos Martinez, the Popular Party, Mariano Oliver, the Socialist Party, and Jose Haro, for Izquierda Unida.
It also featured the village headman of Portman, Jose Luis Rubi.
At the meeting, Rivers explained in detail the details of the bidding process for the regeneration projects and technical issues relating to the execution of work.
The Mayor and the three political parties present, have secured the unanimous support of our City Council for this initiative, with a commitment to perform whatever actions are needed to achieve the good end of it.
The Regeneration Project announcement was published in the Official Gazette on Thursday September 22, amounting to almost 80 million euros and an execution period of 36 months.
It is expected that the works should commence around next spring.
