The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana shared today in Los Urrutias (Cartagena) a day of living with the users of the Senior Community Center of La Union.
He was accompanied by the managing director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Isabel Sola, unionense Mayor, Francisco Martín Barnabas, and the center's director, Federico Mestre de San Juan.
The purpose of the day is that the partners enjoy a day at the beach and recreation, before and after tasting a great paella prepared for about 450 attendees.
This day, which began to be held years ago with the influx of a hundred people, has been steadily gaining followers to reach numbers in the latest editions of about half a thousand.
The day began with a stroll to the shores of Mar Menor, after which they are offered a snack prior to the tasting on the premises of Camp Caritas, the giant paella prepared by a specialized company.
After lunch, there was a dance and a family lottery session.
