The Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson of the City of La Union, Mariano Oliver, reporting today that have not yet paid the prize money of the Festival del Cante de las Minas de La Union, for the last edition.
Through questions and Finance Committee of the PSOE, the Socialist councilors have known that the winners of the Mining Lamp (singing) of rudeness (dance) and the mining drone (tap) still do not recover the amount of his trophies, seven months after the competition to occur.
Oliver reported that the approval of bills to enforce such payment is signed, according to Mariano Oliver, on 28 January.
However, the municipality has not proceeded to the payment.
The amount of these awards is as follows:
"The Mining Lamp.
First prize in the form of singing is 10,000 euros.
"In the case of Mining Bordon.
First prize in the form of touch is 4,000 euros.
"And in the case of rudeness.
First prize in the form of dance is 6,000 euros.
Oliver expressed his indignation and of all councilors socialist "by the bad image that gives the Festival, due to lack of seriousness, irresponsibility and bad management are proving tnat the mayor, Francisco Bernabé, as his entire government team" .
It so happens that this afternoon comes the poster for the next festival del Cante de las Minas.
Oliver called "the unpresentable that by now the winners have not yet received, especially as this afternoon held a ceremony at the Regional Assembly to present the poster for the next edition. We believe that this form of management is being pulled by soils the image and prestige of the Festival. "
