The director general of Transport and Ports, Carmen Sandoval, with the mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, put into service today the new bus stops with electronic panels installed at the busiest points of passengers in the municipality.
"The new stops have electronic panels that provide real time information on the schedules of different vehicles, representing a significant improvement in the quality of public transport for the citizens of the municipality," said director general Transport and Ports.
In addition, new information systems provide information about the origin and destination of different lines, the frequency of passing vehicles, if there has been some delay and stops alternatives if there is any road closed to traffic.
Electronic panels offer excellent visibility both day and night and were installed in five stops from the main streets, Murcia and Real, which have also made improvements to promote universal access to public transport.
The regional government through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, has supported the show with 81,868 euros.
