The Department of Social Services City of La Union already has a new site after it has been officially inaugurated today and jointly by the Minister Murcia Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, the general director of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé.
This inauguration comes after completion of rehabilitation works on the property, for until now the municipal slaughterhouse, so social services workers and can develop their work in these units over 400 m² to reserve a space for the future establishment of CAVI, designed to assist victims of gender violence in the family.
The project in recent months has been the integral rehabilitation of the building, with new walls and floors, as well as improving existing facilities and staffing to building new facilities commensurate with its new use as the headquarters of Services Social.
Likewise, action has included the addition of an elevator to comply with accessibility standards and ensure full integration of persons with disabilities.
The total project investment of 302,000 euros and 26,000 euros in the equipment have been financed by the Autonomous Region through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration (50%) and the Ministry of Public Works ( 50%).
