The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Region of Murcia, Joaquín Bascuñana, today opened the new Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens of La Union, in an act has been accompanied by the mayor unionense, Francisco Bernabé and and by other authorities of the Ministry and the Municipal Corporation.
Bascuñana, who has performed with Barnabas a tour of the nearly 1,000-square-foot center, has been found 'in situ' the broad structure of the building, consisting of three floors of 330 m² each where different services are distributed, a space who may receive health and social care over forty people affected by different degrees of dependence.
The new CED, located between the streets and Del Pozo Del Salto, near the home of the Third Age of The Union, features a first floor where there is access and building control, the costumes of users, a living room residence, dining room and kitchen as well as nursing and a treatment room nursing home linked to the bathroom.
For its part, the first floor of the building houses the administration area, two management offices and a boardroom, the area of general medicine and physiotherapy gym, located next to the multipurpose room of rehabilitation area nursing profession, changing person, and a multipurpose room and workshops.
The roof of the building is designed for walking, and recreational users.
The total project cost is 883,916 euros, of which the regional government through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration provides a total of 662,937 euros.
After the event, which has uncovered a commemorative plaque and Francisco Joaquin Bernabe Bascuñana addressed, along with other authorities, the municipality of La Union, where there has been a Board of Directors of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration.
