Local Police Union today has a new patrol car, after the Minister of Justice and Public Safety in the Region of Murcia, Manuel Campos, made the official presentation this morning during a ceremony that also have visited the premises of Police Headquarters, inaugurated in April 2010.
Previously, the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the Chief of Local Police, Fulgencio Garcia, and Police and Interior Councillor, Juana Sánchez, have been the counselor at City Hall and then accompany him to the police station located Progress in building an infrastructure dating from 1880 which once hosted the old Town Hall.
The new acquisition, received at the Plaza Journalist García Mateos, compared with the local police headquarters, joins six patrol cars available to this body today, along with two motorcycles, a van for the maintenance of traffic and one for the Canine Unit.
This is a C-4 Citroen Picasso HDI 110CV with red and white colors of the Autonomous Region which is equipped with a full kit arrested, screen and plastic seats, which also has a full set of lights rotary the bridge and in the trunk.
After the event has taken place to visit the premises of Police Headquarters, which use the ground floor and basement on an area of 600 square meters distributed in offices, meeting rooms, room Driver Education, training room, locker rooms , gym, file room, and customer service area, among other agencies, as well as the Magistrates Court.
The autonomous region allocated 182,928 euros for police facilities, of which 95,678 euros corresponded to the execution of the works, and other 87,250 euros for the purchase of equipment.
The new facility, equipped with greater breadth and functionality than previous ones, have made a significant improvement in working conditions of the 34 professionals who currently comprise the staff of the Local Police in La Union.
