El Museo del Cante de las Minas de La Union has today with a new host, a sculpture made of bronze, entitled 'Song of Mine.
Tribute to the Music III 'made by the artist Martin Chirino Gran Canaria, one of the representatives of the Spanish abstract sculpture of greater international prestige.
The work, owned by the Foundation Cante de las Minas, was presented this morning by the mayor of La Union and its executive chairman, Francisco Bernabé, by the Director General for Cultural Promotion and the Book, Francisco Giménez; and the director of the School of Flamenco, Carlos Piñana, who have not hesitated to express the quality of the work displayed in the museum in the house of the pinion.
Martin Chirino, the poster of L International Festival of Cante de las Minas last year, has managed to skillfully shape a figure that includes some of the strongest features of his iconography, like a spiral, whose difficulty has been increased by its small size, it is 11 inches long, 41.5 cm.

Francisco Bernabé thanked Chirino, who has excused his absence at the ceremony for health reasons before his advanced age, the execution of a work that will undoubtedly become a valuable heritage of La Union and the Museo del Cante de las Minas and since this time will be displayed with pride for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Martin Chirino (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1925) has been awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Arts, National Arts Award, the International Prize for Sculpture at the Biennale of Budapest Canary Arts Award, the National Sculpture Prize of the CEOE and the Medal of Honor of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
He has exhibited his work in Europe, America and Asia.
