The monitoring committee for the regeneration of the bay of Portman will hold a meeting Feb. 3 at the premises of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine unionense available in the village, which houses the pilot project for recovery of contaminated soils in the bay.
This has been announced today the general director of Sustainability and the Sea Coast, Pedro Antonio Ríos, and the Chief of the Coastal Authority Region Paca Baraza, who have informed the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, that such committee will be chaired by Secretary of State for Climate Change, Ms Teresa Ribera Rodríguez.
In this sense, Barnabas has expressed his satisfaction to see that "they are meeting the deadlines set with Pedro Antonio Ríos in the meeting we had in Madrid in November, and hopes that both the presence of Secretary of State as the fact that the meeting be held at Portman "is the harbinger of good news about an upcoming auction of the works."
The approval of the technical project for the regeneration of the bay of Portman came in July 2008 found since then pending the resolution of the report of Environmental Impact Assessment, which is the previous step so that you can hire the works.
