The City of La Union, through the Department of Social Services has organized a food collection campaign among its workers and public officials whose aim has been to work with Caritas in the distribution to families in need and less resources of the municipality , especially in these special days.
The president of Caritas in La Union, Gregorio Ruiz, has been established to monitor and collect the deposit of food made by officials and officials of the City, while he has received from the hands of the Councillor of Celebration, Mary Hermogenes, the has raised money for solidarity in the Christmas Market.
Caritas, a humanitarian organization that brings together 162 national Catholic relief, development and social service, carries out important work in the city, attending weekly to over 200 families, totaling more than 1,000 people who benefit from the distribution of food, clothing and shoes, among other basic necessities.
