The three works have been funded by the Government of Spain for an amount of 390,000 euros
The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, inaugurated this morning three works carried out under the State Fund in 2010 and financed entirely by the Government of Spain.
Specifically, inaugurated the restoration work of the Home of the Third Age of Portman, the new bike lanes in La Union and new paddle and tennis at the sports center of the town.
The three works have made a joint investment of 390,000 euros.
Work on the Community Center on Aging Portman has involved the repair of the roof, the toilets and the main office, a new paving of the building, improvements in the canteen and a new electrical installation.
The amount of the performance has been of 90,000 euros.
Moreover, the new bike lane runs between the Place de La Esperanza and the intersection with Race Street Irun and Murcia in the municipality.
The cost of the works was € 150,000.
Finally, the third work have been opened new paddle and tennis at the sports center.
The investment of 150,000 euros has been the construction of two new paddle courts regulations and comprehensive rehabilitation of three tennis courts.
Tovar González pointed out that thanks to state funds in 2009 and 2010, included in Plan E, La Union has received 4.7 million euros, which the council has distributed in the execution of 25 works projects that create more than 260 direct jobs and, also, 4 social spending programs for the maintenance of schools and elderly care in the municipality.
