The Old Public Market Union yesterday hosted Volunteer Day with an event organized by the Assembly Local Red Cross in collaboration with the City, where they discussed various topics of interest and gave out diplomas and honorable mentions Red Cross volunteers in the municipality.
First Assembly volunteers each received diplomas of achievement for participating in the Course of Basic Life Support Lifesaving held in La Union a few days ago, a training commended for Health by the Ministry of Health.
Also during the ceremony, which included the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the president of the Assembly Local Red Cross, Ramón Gijón, the president of Honor, Enrique Gijón, Vice President of Honor, Francisco Mendez, and Committee representative Councillor Jose Luis Rubi, honorable mentions were given to outstanding volunteers of the NGO for over 25 years, some belonging to the missing body of troops of the Red Cross.
On the other hand, opened last Friday in the Area Youth Union's Great Exhibition of Antique Toys, an initiative that includes around 200 objects children over 30 years old from the collection of Roger Mouzo Pagan.
The Great Exhibition, which will remain open until January 6 from 10.00 to 13.30 and from 17.00 to 20.00 hours, with a wide range of toys and tin cars, marbles, balls, rag dolls, Rio, trains , horns, rattles, reed arrows or yo-yos, a collection that have helped the children of that neighbor unionense.
Also, visitors can enjoy handmade toys Antonio Navarro, and replicas and miniatures in wood, as well as five comets belonging to the artisan mining Ginés Guzman Vera.
