Municipal Pool Union hosted this weekend the Championship of Spain by Autonomous Swimming for People with Intellectual Disabilities, which took 76 swimmers from seven autonomous regions and broke five national records.
Autonomy participating in the championship organized by the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (FEddi) were Andalusia, Asturias, Canarias, Castilla La Mancha, Valencia, Madrid and Murcia region latter brought to the town unionense a total of 11 athletes.
During the tests, which took place on 16, beat five records of Spain in the categories of men's 100m backstroke, in charge of Valencia Daniel Montilla; 4x100 m.

NEW INDOOR POOL
The Championship of Spain by Autonomous Swimming for People with Intellectual Disabilities was held in La Union just two weeks after it was inaugurated the Municipal Pool facility, which have a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool of 25 meters and one for children and the elderly, among other agencies, as well as up to 1,500 people.
This is a work of three plants included in the II Regional Sports Facilities Plan, with a total contribution of the CARM for the subsidy, amounting to 973,575.83 euros.
The amount of the award of the work has been of 2,595,657.87 euros, while a project has changed, so the total of the work has finally amounted to EUR 3,106,580.12.
