The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, accompanied by the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, today inaugurated the town's indoor swimming pool whose construction represents an investment of 3,106,580 euros, of which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has contributed 973,575 euros.
The sports facilities, located in Plaza Los Sanchez, near the sports center is divided into three floors and has three pools, a 25 by 12.5 meters, another 12.5 per six meters and a 12.5 meters, plus toilets, showers, reception, multi-purpose sports hall and offices for administrative purposes, among other agencies.
The facilities are open to the public on October 1 and have a capacity for 1,500 people.
The infrastructure is part of the Sports Facilities Plan promoted by the regional government.
