The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Education, Jesus Lopez reported that the municipality of La Union is "an example of planning that forecasts of the Ministry of Education are rarely met."

Jesus Lopez made the remarks on the enlargement of the Union school, which opened today by the Minister for Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca, which have suffered delays since 2008.

In particular, the expansion of the College "Blacksmith" was agreed by agreement with the Union Hall in April 2008.

The works are not awarded until a year later (June 2009) and its completion was provided during the past year.

"Nothing has been fulfilled," he lamented.

Jesus Lopez recalled that precisely in the municipality of La Union is also planning the construction of a new school to replace the CEIP "Alfonso X, whose contract with the council was signed in April 2009.

The Ministry of Education had provided the start of construction in October 2009 and have not yet begun.
