Union City Council has completed work on the project to rehabilitate and improve the Community Center on Aging Portman, after four months of implementation.
Therefore, the first mayor unionense, Francisco Bernabé, who was accompanied by the councilman of Women, Social Services and Celebration, Mary Hermogenes, today took out a symbolic act of handing over the keys to the current president of the social center, Froilan Ros and some of its members.
The building that houses the Social Center on Aging located in the hamlet unionense occupies an area exceeding 171 m2, and consists of a lounge and meeting rooms, toilets, office, hairdressers, bar and store.
Also has a room designated for computer use and training.
Work undertaken has involved the repair of the roof, which will eliminate the water leaks as well as rehabilitation of toilets, the upgrading of the office to make it more functionality, the renewal of the pavement, the new electrical installation in the building, and improving the canteen.
The total project cost of rehabilitation and improvement of the Social Center on Aging Portman has risen to 90,000 euros, in charge of Plan E.
