The Ministry of Agriculture has awarded the City of La Union minirecolector a vehicle of urban waste.
The event was attended by the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the Director General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, Francisco José Espejo.
The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, said the importance of "this vehicle minirecolector which will significantly improve the system of municipal waste collection, which will benefit the environmental quality of our city."
Minirecolector vehicle, for separate collection of waste, will be used in the EcoPark in La Union, an infrastructure that is available to residents from September, and will enable substantial improvements in environmental quality in the city, have citizens of a free place where all types of waste such as furniture, appliances, batteries, debris and oils, which are the big news at the permanent collection as well as more traditional plastic, glass, organic or paper and paperboard.
The cost of municipal waste minirecolector vehicle is 33,303 euros, financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, through the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
