Five people have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of burglary, reception and cultivation and production and distribution of narcotic substances

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'PUMBAN', an investigation that has culminated with the dismantling of a criminal group, settled in the municipality of La Union and dedicated to theft with force in commercial establishments and to the cultivation, elaboration and distribution of narcotic substances.
So far, five members of the group have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with force, reception and cultivation and processing of narcotic substances.
Several stolen effects have been seized, as well as 4,600 grams of marijuana.
The investigation began at the beginning of the month, after the Civil Guard had knowledge of the commission, of continuous form, of several robberies with force in commerce and offices of the municipality of the Union, some facts that had generated certain social alarm.
The first investigations allowed to verify that after these robberies was a group of people specialized in robberies with force that, supposedly, centered its criminal activity in commercial establishments and offices, from where they stole money in cash and other effects that could be sold in the market black with immediacy.
Collaboration with the Local Police of La Unión
The Benemérita, in collaboration with the Local Police of La Unión, established a series of periodic surveillance and investigation devices aimed at identifying the suspects who, apparently, acted in a coordinated manner to avoid being located and detained.
These police devices, in which numerous selective checks were carried out on people and vehicles, allowed the identification of two young brothers with a bulky criminal record residing in a building in the town, together with their mother, where they suspected they could accumulate stolen objects. .
Last Friday, day 16, once obtained the necessary indications and requested the corresponding judicial order of entry and registration in the domicile, in an ample police device, formed by agents of the Benemérita and the Local Police, the agents materialized the phase of exploitation of the operation.
In the home, various stolen objects have been recovered, such as mobile phones, hairdressing products, a bicycle and cash.
In addition, in one of the rooms of the building has been dismantled an interior greenhouse of marijuana, where they have been seized more than four kilos of plants of sativa cannabis.
The Spanish housing dwellers, aged 18 and 20, who at that time were at home, have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with force, as well as the cultivation and processing of narcotic substances.
In the course of the police operation have been arrested two people, one of them arrested mother, 42 years and resident in the same family home and another 19 year old as alleged authors of the crimes investigated.
So far, the investigation has ended with the arrest of a fifth person male, Spanish, 20 years old, allegedly dedicated to acquire the stolen items, as alleged author of crime of reception.
Criminal group dedicated to robberies with force and drug trafficking
The operation 'PUMBAN', developed by the Civil Guard in collaboration with the Local Police of the Union, has culminated with the dismantling of a criminal group, whose five members have been arrested, as alleged perpetrators of at least a dozen robberies committed in shops and offices in the town of La Union.
In addition, the research developed has dismantled a point of cultivation, processing and distribution of narcotic substances in the municipality, with the finding of an indoor plantation of sativa cannabis, where they have seized nearly five kilos of marijuana plants.
The property has recovered several mobile phones, hairdressing products, a bicycle and cash that, once identified by their legitimate owners, have been returned to them.
The arrested, the recovered objects, the seized drug and the diligences instructed have been put at the disposal of the Court of Instruction number 5 of Cartagena (Murcia).
The investigation continues open, so it is not ruled out that there will be new arrests.
