The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and Councilman Young, Antonio Liarte, inaugurated yesterday the flamenco dance courses festero-Cultural Association "Artedo" which will run until next Friday in the ballroom of the Youth Space.
After welcoming the students and wish them the best use of the lessons that they will receive, Francisco Bernabé praised the implementation of these activities "are an important basis for the Festival del Cante de las Minas, and what it means for learning and promotion of flamenco dance. "
A total of 30 students are taking part in these two courses, one of which is aimed at beginners flamenco (footwork), and is being taught by Mamen Navarro, Spanish dance teacher for the Conservatory of Dance.
Moreover, festero-Cultural Association "Artedo" is also offering a course of fandangos (intermediate-advanced), by Professor Flamenco Dance Conservatory of the Region of Murcia, Beatriz Arce.
The objectives of these courses are to increase knowledge of Flamenco, and apply and adapt techniques of this art.
These flamenco courses organized by the festero-Cultural Association "Artedo" Corvi Cloti presiding, have the cooperation of the Department of Culture and Youth of the City of La Union.
