The Community of the Region of Murcia, through the Institute of Development, has launched the project Free Trade Zones, an initiative that seeks to convert the cultural and geographical wealth of the municipalities of the Region into an added value element that is Transform into a site of creation of companies.

The project, which has already begun in La Union, aims to specialize the municipalities of the Region in those sectors where they can be more competitive and encourage the creation and settlement of companies, thus contributing to the creation of a business fabric Solid that collaborates and generates synergies and that helps the creation of employment in these localities and, ultimately, the local and regional economic development.

The first step of the project was to identify the sectors with the greatest potential for growth and development, which in La Unión's case translates into working for the creation of a free zone of entrepreneurship of flamenco, given that we have the International Song Festival Of Minas as flagship of our culture, and as the most important and representative event of our municipality.

From the Popular Party of La Unión we celebrate that since the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, La Unión has been chosen as a city for the implementation of the Free Trade Zones Project, and that thanks to this, And policies aimed at the creation and establishment of companies and entrepreneurs in our municipality, and that this can create jobs for our citizens, given the null capacity of Socialist Mayor Pedro López Milan, to propose policies that encourage and attract Companies to our municipality, and who showed once more the little interest and commitment that he has for his people, not attending neither he nor any of his councilors to the public presentation of the project that was made last week in Murcia at the regional level , Leaving in ridiculous the whole municipality with that nefarious attitude.
