The Portman Nautical Club has announced the winners of the 1st Photographic Contest "Escenas Litoral Bahía de Portmán", an activity carried out in collaboration with the City Council of La Unión, within the framework of the club's 25th anniversary.
The photographs had to reflect the scenes of the shoreline of the bay and its own corners.
The first prize of € 400 was for Faustino Nieto for his "Faro" photography.
Second, with a prize of € 200, the winner has been David Ros Garcia for his snapshot "Playa Lastre".
The third winner has been Loli Madrid with a prize of € 100.
The winners have been chosen by a first-rate jury composed of Antonio Meroño, Yolanda Díaz and Pablo Ferao, all of them professional photographers, the President of the Portman Yacht Club, Blas Isaac, and the Mayor of La Unión, Pedro López.
In addition, due to the high quality of the photographs presented, the jury has decided to award four prizes as a trophy to Francisco Inglés for "Mission Accomplished", José Manuel Salmerón for "Baliza", Ramón Alarcón for "Orange Velvet" and Esther Hair.
The president of the Portman Yacht Club, Blas Isaac, congratulated the winners and applauded the massive participation and quality that has had this first photo contest.
He also hopes that this initiative will become one more tradition of the club.
The awards ceremony will take place this Friday, February 10, at 8:30 p.m., at the official ceremony of the presentation of the 25th anniversary of the Nautical Club of Portman, at the Assembly Hall of La Union.
Likewise, with the photographs of all the participants there will be an exhibition.
