Surprised at the press release issued by Mr. Alcalde de La Unión, Mr. Pedro López Milán, in which he "demands" us to stop interfering in the process of recruiting personnel that will work in the different phases of the project. Regeneration of the Bay of Portman, from FAEPU we come to show our deepest discomfort by the belligerent and disproportionate tone used by him in his way of manifesting himself.

Moreover, we do not understand that from the City Council this unexpected attack is carried out to the work that we have been doing unselfishly and with our own means, without even being asked for information about it, so we have no other option Than to think that it is spoken from the most absolute ignorance.

In this regard, we must remember that FAEPU reached an agreement with the company MARCO itself to facilitate the process of collecting the curriculum vitae to interested parties who would like to do so, without prejudice to the fact that they could address any other instance that they considered more timely.

This action has never meant that FAEPU has interfered in the decision of the personnel to be hired, which corresponds exclusively to the company awarded the works, nor that it has been publicized in that sense.

Therefore, it is beyond doubt that it is not, and has not at any time, the intention of this Association to attribute functions that do not correspond to it, but rather, to cooperate and facilitate the citizens of our municipality the sometimes complicated task To apply for a job.

On the other hand, we do not know the legitimacy attributed by Mr. Mayor to prohibit an agreement between two entities of private law and totally apolitical, so we are not willing to admit interference of this nature from the local administration that only create a bad image.

On the contrary, what we demand from Mr. López Milan is that he diligently capitalizes the economic reactivation of our municipality, which we so badly need, and where we assure you that you will find all our support.

However, this type of reaction does not help in any way to create the climate of confidence that it requires, so we expect an early correction in its attitude.
