The mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan and the Councillor for Sports, Jose Solano, received this morning at the Casa del Pińón members of the boat "April Fish" led by his patron, José María Meseguer.
The boat Yacht Club Portman has recently obtained the runner-up award in the category ORC and runner-up of the 35th edition of the Copa del Rey Mapfre of the BMW ORC class 1. In addition the vessel has been winner of the VIII Regatta Carbide Silver and XXII Trofeo Tabarca (Alicante).
Lopez Milan has stressed that it is an honor for the town that the "Pez de Abril", one of the sixty boats Swan42 the world, has its headquarters at the Yacht Club of Portman as it means an important promotion for the municipality of La Union, while making an outstanding claim for the sporting future of the regeneration of the Bay.
The mayor pointed out that the team still racing yachtsman and in two weeks will participate in a race in the waters of Sardinia
