On 20 April in the Old Public Market of the Union the final "Intercentros" championship "Factoritrón" launched by the IES Sierra Minera.
This year will be attended by around 400 students from 18 schools in the region and surrounding, where, besides the competition itself, various activities related to mathematics developed.
The IES Sierra Minera has been doing since 2000, the date when the World Year of Mathematics held "-various activities around the world of this science, included in the famous" Mathematics Week. "This activity has already reached its 10th edition and its new contest is scheduled for next year 2016-2017. Traditionally it has been held in the public market in the Union as a "large exposure" in different classrooms-matter, in which various activities are offered always oriented mathematics.
For this course 2015-2016, and with the aim of promoting and developing the calculation, especially factoring numbers in a fun way, we have designed a championship mathematical skill called "FACTORITRÓN" championship IES Sierra Minera been held in the center since the academic year 2009/2010, with great success among students and teachers, so this course it has extended this experience to a championship, "Intercentros" with the hope that again be a success.
