| The City Council will present a plan to reactivate local commerce and hospitality | The City Council will distribute 400 surgical masks for businesses in the Municipality and 2000 cloth masks for merchants to distribute among their customers.The Mayor of La Unión, Pedro López Milán together with the Government Team, has prepared the first measures of a comprehensive plan, to help local commerce and reactivate purchases and consumption in the Municipality.In this sense, the Mayor will meet with the Association of Entrepreneurs of La Unión (FAEPU), to communicate the package of measures that have been developed by the Municipal Government, which will facilitate the boost in sales of the small business.

Thus, in this meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 7, both the measures offered by the City Council and those prepared by FAEPU may be agreed upon.An outdoor shopping and leisure centerThe first measure of the proposals, will turn the Calle Mayor, during the weekends, into an experience for leisure and consumption.

Two time slots will be established, such as Saturday afternoon-evening, and Sunday mornings.

For this, traffic will be cut for pedestrianization, also allowing the terraces on the road to be expanded -similar to what has been done during the patron saint festivities-, to compensate for the limitation imposed by the measures of the de-escalation plan for unconfinement.Extensible measures to other streets and neighborhoodsThe Mayor, Pedro López Milán, also announced that the terrace expansion measures will not be exclusive to Calle Mayor, but rather extend to the entire Municipality.

In addition, depending on the location of each location, the use of neighboring streets and / or squares will be studied individually.The measure will also affect the districts of Portmán and Roche.The shops will also be able to expand their sales spaces, showing their products on the street, and zones will be established for those shops on other streets of the Municipality, who want to expose and sell merchandise on the main artery of La Unión (Calle Mayor).

Street.For businesses that join this initiative, the opening of the hours will be allowed during Saturday nights until 23:00.Comprehensive advertising campaignPedro López Milán has also announced that the design of an advertising campaign is being finalized, in order to make visible the value of local trade in La Unión, and that it will be launched in various media such as outdoor advertising, radio, television, Internet and social networks.Loyalty awardTo build loyalty in local business purchases, the City Council has also announced the launch of a 'rutero', to be stamped in each business for each purchase made, and which will allow the participation of ten gift vouchers worth one hundred euros each one.

Each gift voucher will be for a specific type of purchase (purchase of food products, fashion, sportswear, drinks, etc.).The cinema will come to the BarriosDuring the summer season, the open-air cinema will come to the Barrios, making two screenings per day -the first session will be a children's screening-, in which the City Council will be in charge of the technical installation, with the residents taking out their chairs to the street keeping the safety distance.The assembly of bars will also be allowed, by the hoteliers of each area, so that they can act as a canteen or install terraces to reserve tables.
