The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, today received the mayor of La Unión, Pedro López, to whom he informed that the Ministry of Education and Culture is already supervising the basic project and execution of the works of the CEIP Primary pavilion King Juan Carlos I of the municipality and that the execution of the works is expected to begin before the end of the year, once all the necessary administrative procedures have been completed.
"This is an important investment that will provide the center with twelve classrooms, multipurpose room, gym and two sports courts, among others," said the Minister of Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting, who explained that The budget for these actions amounts to 2.4 million euros.
In addition, during the meeting held at the Palace of San Esteban, the situation of existing mining waste in La Unión was also addressed.
"These remains generate concern and problems that we are trying to solve," said Celdrán, who announced that "the Autonomous Community will take charge of the different studies of physical-chemical characterization and risk analysis in different areas of the municipality.
