On Monday, February 17, the transition period for the change of frequencies in digital terrestrial television (DTT) began in the Municipalities whose antennas (collective and individual dwellings) are oriented to the broadcasting centers of Águilas, Carrascoy, Cartagena, Isla Plana and Orange Lorca II.
The reception of digital terrestrial television (DTT) in the Municipality of the Union and its district of Roche, is done through the Carrascoy repeater so we are affected by this update.
In the case of the neighbors of the district of Portmán, they will not be affected since they use their independent repeater that receives their signal via satellite.
The collective antennas located in La Unión and Roche must be adapted before June 30 of this year, since it will be from that date, when the final shutdown of the affected frequencies occurs.
It is important to note that the need to adapt the antennas before June 30 will only affect the buildings and not the individual homes, where only televisions should be re-tuned.
For the tranquility of the citizens, until June 30, it will continue to be broadcast simultaneously on both frequencies, so the immediate update will not be necessary.
PUBLIC AID
The Council of Ministers has approved a Royal Decree of aid, which regulates the direct granting of subsidies worth 150 million euros for the communities of owners intended for the adaptation of television reception facilities.
The amounts of the subsidy range between € 104.3 and € 677.95, depending on the infrastructure previously installed.
The farm administrator or the president of the neighborhood community will be responsible for contacting an installer, and requesting the verification of the type of television reception infrastructure available and the changes that must be made.

The channels that will cease to be seen as of June 20, 2020, in case the changes are not made, will be:
Atresmedia Group (Antena3, Antena3 HD, La Sexta, Neox, Nova).
Channels tdp, tdp HD, Clan, Clan HD, DKISS.
Channels BeMad HD TV, Atreseries HD, Real Madrid HD TV, TEN.
