On February 13, the Organizing Committee of the XXIV Fair of Minerals and Fossils of the Union was officially constituted, meeting its members.
The meeting, convened by FAEPU, the organization that organized the event, was attended by Mr. Carlos Bernabé, president of the entrepreneurs of La Unión and president of the Fair, Mr. Mariano Miranda, Coordinator of the Fair, Mr. Eliecer Pérez Sánchez , Technical Director of the same, Mr. Tomás Conesa, President of Hospitality, and businessman Manuel Gambín, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena.
Likewise, as a representative of the Hon.
City Council of the Union, attended D. José Solano Legaz, Councilor for Infrastructure.
In this meeting, various topics related to the planning of the Fair were addressed, such as its budget, schedules, planned activities and the novelties that will be introduced in this edition, which will be made public shortly.
In turn, the bases of the photo contest were approved, as well as the poster announcing the Fair, which will also be officially presented to the media in the near future.
This year the Fair celebrates its XXIV Edition and will take place on April 9, 10 and 11 in the Old Public Market of La Unión, coinciding with Holy Week Mining.
Its President, Carlos Bernabé, has highlighted the importance of the Fair as the third most important in Spain in its sector and that it has already become the most important non-religious cultural event in the Region of Murcia during Holy Week, which is an important impulse for the Municipality as a whole, given the influx of people from all over Spain and Europe that it attracts.
