So far a dozen crimes have been clarified
Several judicial requisitions also weighed on the arrested
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Replays' operation, has developed an investigation to clarify several crimes against the patrimony committed in La Unión, which has culminated with the identification, location and detention of its alleged author , which has entered prison.
After the operation, which is framed within the services aimed at preventing citizen security, the Civil Guard has clarified, so far, a dozen criminal acts and has resolved three legal claims that were in force on the now arrested.
At the end of last year, members of the Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita opened the operation to investigate a series of crimes against the patrimony committed in La Unión, facts that had caused social alarm among the population.
In most of the complaints filed, the victims reported having suffered robberies with violence and intimidation committed in the urban area of ​​the Unionense municipality.
Thanks to citizen collaboration, the Local Police of La Unión and the victims of the events, the civil guards obtained the identity of a young man, a neighbor of the town and with a history of similar crimes, who allegedly was behind the authorship of the criminal facts investigated.
As a result of the investigations carried out and after obtaining all the necessary evidence, prior judicial authorization, the investigators carried out the entry and registration of the home where the suspect resided, but he was not in the property, presumably because he detected that the Benemérita followed him.
Given these facts, the Civil Guard established a large search device and increased the police presence in the places that the suspect used to travel, of which there was no news for a while, apparently when he was cornered by the police fence.
Objective of the robberies: minors and elderly people
At the beginning of the year, the suspect allegedly returned to commit new criminal acts in La Unión, this time increasing his level of aggressiveness through physical and verbal threats to minors and elderly people, in order to remove objects of value that they had an agile sale, facts that increased the social alarm among the neighbors
The search device on the suspect has paid off, since, during the last days, the Civil Guard has located and detained him as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, robbery with force and theft, also ceasing three judicial claims that weighed on the arrested.
The analysis of the evidence obtained during the investigation has allowed clarifying, so far, a dozen crimes against the estate, although the operation remains open, not ruling out that the now arrested is related to the commission of more criminal acts.
The arrested has entered prison
The 20-year-old Spanish detainee, a neighbor of La Unión and with a history of similar crimes and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cartagena (Murcia), which has decreed the prisoner's entry into prison.
