The Santa Bárbara Festival, Patroness of Mining, which we will celebrate next December 4, comes with a program of activities that from the Department of Culture, has been carried out to better know the history of our Municipality, especially to The youngest
We will start next Sunday, December 1, starting at 10:00 a.m., with free visits to the Mining Park.
Tickets can be requested at the Tourist Office, maximum 4 reservations per person, until full capacity is reached.
On Wednesday, December 4, Festivity of Santa Barbara, at 11:30 hours, Mr. Pedro Pérez Nieto, will offer us the Conference entitled "The Open Sky Union", in which he will tell us with images the mining activity developed in our Sierra throughout history.
It will be in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall.
At 1:00 p.m., the Mayor, together with the Municipal Corporation and secondary school students of the educational centers of the Municipality, will make a floral offering at the Monument to the Miner, located in the Plaza Joaquín Costa, in tribute to all the miners and the families that have suffered the hard work in the mines and their consequences.
In the afternoon, at 8:00 p.m. and in the Plenary Hall, the UPCT professor, D, Emilio Trigueros, will hold the conference "The Mining of the Sierra de Cartagena and La Unión".
Commemorative activities of the Patroness of Mining, will end on December 7 in the Santa Barbara Neighborhood with games and fun for all ages, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
