More than 1,300 walkers will participate this year in the XI "Camino del 33" Night Route for the benefit of ASTEAMUR (Association of People with Autism Spectrum Disorder of the Region of Murcia) to be held on August 24 in La Unión.
This activity, organized by the City Council of La Unión, together with the group of volunteer organizers of the previous editions of the route, will run through the Sierra Minera, through the historic "Camino del 33", which is what the miners traveled from La Union to Portman.
This route crosses the Mining Park and the Agrupa Vicenta mine, but without visiting it.
The spokesman of the neighbors who participate in the XI Night Route "Camino del 33", Antonio Gómez, says he is very satisfied with the collaboration of the sponsors of La Unión who support the event: "they come to us, without having to ask for it , just like we always go to associations that need our help. "
The president of the Cantes de las Minas Foundation and mayor of La Unión, Pedro López Milan, says that this night route is a symbiosis of hiking, history, culture, natural environment, solidarity and tourism.
In the aforementioned presentation he added that the route starts from the dream of some friends and although the town hall appears as an organizer "it will always belong to them because the important thing is the solidarity end of it."
For his part, the vice president of ASTEAMUR, Paco Gracia, has stressed that the association seeks to find the sensitivity that their children need and that they have found it in activities such as that of August 24.
This year, the author of the poster is the professor of the area of ​​Advertising and Public Relations of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the University of Murcia, Onesimo Samuel Hernández López.
This explains that it describes the route from La Unión to Portmán in a very functional way, imitating the signs of the metro and urban bus lines.
Route Details
The meeting point is El Vinagrero Restaurant to reach Portmán.
The tour will end with a tasting of sailor snacks and the music of the mining songs.
There will also be raffles and final animation with all participants.
This route runs through urban and mountain circuits with track sections.
The level of technical difficulty is medium-low, so it is intended for all audiences.
This is an 8-kilometer non-competitive route, whose mandatory registration is 8 euros, for the benefit of ASTEAMUR.
